At Lawrence Tech, we have a wide variety of student organizations. In fact, we have over 60 that students can choose from. It could range from anything like getting involved with Greek life to joining a professional association for their major, or even getting involved with something they're interested in like video games. We have an LTU eSports and Gaming Association on campus where they just get together, they hang out, and they play video games, or sometimes they even go to competitive tournaments. So whatever students are interested in, we probably have something for them. But if they don't find something, they are more than welcome to start their own organizations.
I personally like to engage myself with campus and engage myself with students, making sure that their voices are heard. So being actually a part of the Executive Board of Student Government just really allows me to listen to my friends, listen to what they want on campus, and actually, you know, see that happening.
So at Lawrence Tech we really do care about the whole student. We want to make sure that you're getting good grades in your classes, but you're also having a good time on campus, and that you're taking care of yourself. We provide resources for all of those things that you might need while you're here. So one of the events that we host on campus is De-Stress Fest where we give them different mental health tips, we bring in therapy dogs on campus so students can have some time with them, and just different ways for them to kind of come away from the stresses of college for a little bit.
